Event
The
Annual
Trashmasters Classic Lake Shore Clean- up
is in
conjunction with National Public Lands Day held on the
third Saturday of September.
There are
10,000 acres of government land around Barren River Lake
that accumulate trash each year. The success of the
event depends on you. Over the years reduction in trash
has been noticeable as a result of the Trashmasters
Classic volunteers. Please join us and continue the
tradition of keeping the lake clean for wildlife, water
quality, recreational enjoyment and increased tourism to
the area!
A
Family Outing
Looking for a great way to educate your children about
environmental awareness? Or are you and your family just
looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the
community? If so, all you need to do is visit one of the
following Barren River Lake boat ramps locations at 8
A.M.: Peninsula, Baileys Point, Walnut Creek, State
Park, Narrows, Beaver Creek or Port Oliver. If you own a
pontoon boat your help is needed to shuttle other
volunteers to and from the shoreline. If interested
please call the Corps of Engineers @ Barren River Lake
270-646-2055 to register in advance.
Party
Afterwards
After the cleanup there are afternoon activities at the
Barren River Lake Resort State Park where you will be
treated to all you can eat lunch and a live band.
Friends of Barren River Lake will also be giving away
numerous prizes donated by local businesses.
